These Kinta Colour Bumper Weight Plates look great and perform great. Each weight plate is molded to be the same diameter for each plate within each weight.
Bumper weight plates are your first choice if you want to drop your barbells and weight from height to the ground. Regular weight plates like tri-grip plates or similar aren’t built to resist the impacts of being dropped repetitively. Unfortunately, those plates have a solid iron body with a thin rubber coating to protect the weight and the ground. Therefore, those weight plates will crack or damage the floor after some time.
In comparison, Colour Bumper weight plates also have a metal core enclosed in a thick rubber housing which absorbs the impact of being dropped. In turn, this keeps the ground below from being damaged, and as the rubber absorbs the impact, the barbell sleeve won’t be damaged. Buy plates that you can trust won’t damage your gym.
All bumper weight plates are 450mm in diameter with a 50.4mm diameter centre to accommodate Olympic barbells. Additionally, the width of each plate increases as the weight increases. I.e., 5kg bumper weight plates are 24mm wide, and 10kg bumper weight plates are 39mm wide.
